It’s hard to believe that Secret Diary of a Call Girl is back on our tvs for a third series. If you haven’t seen it, don’t.

There’s some softcore porn ie an occasional bare bum, some pretend grunting and grinding, an odd swear word and lots of terrible acting.

I have never read the books, nor probably will I. At least the series seems to have removed the horrible 1960s soft focus of the last series, designed to cover up Billie Piper’s pregnancy.

Personally, if I had organised an, er, escort, and she came along, I would have been disappointed. She seems to lack one ounce of sexual spark.

Then again, maybe that’s the whole point, and I’ve missed it…
